Our Godmother

I had these great pictures of the girls and their "Nanny" from the dance recital last year and I wanted to do something to highlight them. The girls don't have many pictures of them with Ashlie, which is weird, because we are with her at almost every holiday with a camera, lol. Anyway, here is my layout.....

Melodee Langworthy Beach Book class

So I was fortunate enough to take a class with designer Melodee Langworthy a couple of weekends ago. We made the cutest acrylic beach book. I had never made an acrylic book and the fact that this one was a beach book and I just got back from my cruise, it was like a match made in heaven, lol. What I love most about this book is that Melodee taught us that it is ok to glue two pictures back to back and then use that (and that alone) as a page in your book. Do you know how many pictures you can fit in a book by doing that???? TONS!!!! In this book, I used over 40 pictures and really, I have room for lots more!!!! Here are just a few pictures of my completed book.....

True Love

You know, as I am posting this, it just occured to me that I may have already scrapped this picture, lol. I can't remember. I love the picture so much, I just can't help it. We had family pictures taken in October 2008 by Stacy Landry Photography and I can't tell you how much I loved them. (If you are local and want some great pictures, give Stacy a try!)

Project 365 - Week 16

Another installment for my Project 365 book. This is from our week on the crusie. I have the last 2 weeks done, just haven't taken my pictures yet. As usual, still loving doing this project. Love using up some of the supplies that I have stashed away. Love watching the girls look through all of the finished pages so far, just think how much fun it will be in years to look back on these pictures.

Blessings

McKenzie made her first communion last year and looked so pretty in her beautiful white dress. Here is the last layout from her First Communion....

The title is an old diecut title from Deluxe Designs that is probably 6-7 years old (no kidding!!!) The lace was stark white and didn't really look right, so I took it outside and sprayed Glimmer Mist over to "dye" it the color that I wanted!! Just imagine the possibilities with Glimmer Mist and ribbon!

Products used: Crate paper, Bazzill cardstock, Karen Foster ribbon, May Arts ribbon, Prima flowers, Kayser pearls, Prima pearls, Fancy Pants chipboard, The Paper Studio lace, Deluxe Designs diecut title, Ink pot in Vegas Gold, Glimmer Mist
