Little Princess mini album

I bought the deep cut blade from Cricut despite some of the bad reviews that I have read and I am really glad that I did. It did take some trial and error, but I was able to get it to work perfectly. This entire book is made from scratch using my Cricut and the Storybook cartridge. I cut chipboard for the actual pages of the book and then cut cardstock to glue on top of the chipboard pages. easy peasy.

I love making little mini albums like this! It is usually is a quick process for me and gives me a way to be creative!

Project 365 - Week 13

so here is my week 13 layout. McKenzie was in charge of the camera last week and did a great job with her pictures! (Don't forget to click on the layout to see a larger view, when you do, take note of the rules for McKenzie's room, lol) Taylor is taking over the camera for this week. I am very excited to see what she comes up with!

This was the first week that I have had to cut my numbers for the days of the month. I just didn't have enough 2's to do my numbers! What does that mean? That means I am using up my stash!!! For me, that is a good thing!

Project 365 - Week 12

Well, here it is, my week 12 layout for Project 365. The best thing about this whole project is that I have been using nothing but scrap paper (except for my background pages) and left over stickers and things like that. Cleaning out my stash!!!! I have finished off probably 5-6 sticker sheets and cleaned out tons of paper out of my scraps bin, what a great feeling that is!!!

Taylor

I did this layout of Taylor and I wasn't super crazy about it. I think it is the peachy color or something. I guess it turned out ok. I do love the little bird though, she is adorable!!! I am lucky to have access to Buzz and Bloom products. They are out of Australia and only a handful of stores in the US carry these products and my favorite store is one of those! Yay me!

Products used: MAMBI papers, Buzz and Bloom chipboard board, sequins, Prima flowers, Glimmer Mists, SEI brads, May Arts ribbons, Stickles, Making Memories paint and sticker letters, Basic Grey chipboard letters, misc. rhinestones

McKenzie's First Communion

Yay!!! I was able to get a couple of layouts done this weekend and this is one of them. McKenzie made her First Communion last year and this was taken immediately after mass. Such a sweet picture.

Some of the bling was the wrong color, so I use some alcohol ink and a Q-tip to color it the right color. I also colored some clear Dew Drops with alcohol ink so they would match as well. Love alcohol inks for this very reason!!!!

Products used: metallic cardstock (that I have had in my stash probably 4-5 years!!), Making Memories pattern paper, Basic Grey chipboard letters, Ink Pots in Truffle and Vegas Gold, Prima flowers, Dew Drops, Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks and Distress Stickles, May Arts ribbon, Prima bling, Rusty Pickle chipboard, Making Memories acrylic paint

Project 365 - Week 11

Hey everyone!!!  Sorry I haven't been posting much, I haven't had much time to get any scrapping done, but I am hoping that will change this week.  I also got a new MacBook Pro computer and I have been spending lots of time trying to figure out this whole Mac thing.  It is a bit different than what I am used to, lol.  This is kind of my "test" post from my new Mac as well, so hopefully all will work out for me.

Here is my latest installment for my Project 365 layout.  Thanks for looking and thanks for all of the nice comments and emails about my layouts!

Project 365 - Week 10

Ok, so now I am officially caught up on my P365 book. I can tell you that while I love doing these layouts, doing 2 at a time wasn't that much fun, lol. I felt rushed I guess because I was behind. I am going to to my best to keep up with the layouts so that I can savor each and every week and take my time with them.

It's Croppin Time Somewhere.......

So...................it was a great weekend!!!! I worked the Treasured Memories megacrop this weekend and I can't even tell you guys how much fun I had just being there. I can't really imagine being anywhere else during this whole thing. Maybe because I am nosey and afraid that I miss something, lol. Anyways........here are a few of the highlights of my weekend....

I met Tonya for the first time. We had been emailing back and forth on the Cricut message board. Tonya, it was really nice to meet you!!!! I will definately be looking for you when posting.

Monica...................awwwww, I love you Monica.

So, not only did I get to hang out with friends, I was able to take a class from the one and only Jenni Bowlin. What an honor to take a class from her. She is so sweet and I really enjoyed the class. Of course, sitting at a table with Monica, Matt and Amy made the class a ton of fun too.

this is just a quick snapshot of me and Jenni, Matt has my "official" picture on his camera. Speaking of his camera, Jenni went to lunch with Matt, Stacy and Amy and Matt and Stacy were lucky enough to have a photo shoot with Jenni and her husband in downtown Breaux Bridge. Be sure to check out Stacy Landry photography blog to see some of the proofs. You can see them HERE

me and my girls posing in front of the Paris backdrop. What fun this was!!!

I love these girls!!!!! They are so much fun to be around!!! I wish we lived closer so we could see each other more often.

American Girl

What little girl doesn't love the American Girl dolls??? I know that mine do!! I am an adult and I find myself drooling over the new catalogs sometimes. I would love to be a little girl again and have a chance to play with these dolls. I guess I will just keep my memories of my beloved Cabbage Patch dolls, lol. This is the first of 3 dolls that McKenzie has. She has her eye on another one too, so we will see. Our family may grow by one more before long, lol.

Guitar Hero

So if you have kids, chances are you have picture of them playing Guitar Hero!!! Truth be told, I love the game just as much as them. Sometimes I will even play by myself when they are at school!!!!! Anyway, here is one of the many Guitar Hero layouts I will have I am sure.....

For the Guitar Hero logo, I cut the title using my SCAL program and used the font called Nightmare Hero (can be downloaded at dafont.com). I cut it out in white, then hand cut the grey and black shadows.

Project 365 - Week 8

So here we are with week 8 in my book. I am only layout behind now and I am hoping to get that one cranked out in the next couple of days. We are now starting the 3rd month of this project and I am wondering how many people are still keeping up with it. I really enjoy doing it and really REALLY enjoy doing the layouts. I was able to throw away 2 empty sticker sheets that I finally used up. What a great feeling. Yay for getting through some of those leftover supplies!!!!

Mardi Gras 2008

Just another quickie one pager. I have been doing lots of those lately. I have never had it in me that I "have to do 2 pages" ever since I started scrapbooking so it is very easy for me to go between one and two page layouts. I really like doing both for different reasons. One pagers are such fun because I feel like they are completed rather quickly and it is almost instant gratification. If you haven't tried doing a one page, give it a whirl!!!

Products used: Bazzill cardstock, pattern paper (sorry can't remember who it was by and no markings since it came from my scraps pile), American Crafts Thickers, Prima bling, Fleur des lis vellum (not sure who makes that either)
