My Girl (mini book)

I do this weird thing when I am bored. I have a gazillion pictures to scrap, but when I get bored and not really in the mood to do a layout, I have this habit of creating things that I really don't have any use for, but they are fun to make. I have made a ton of little mini books that just sit here. It is kind of a fun thing to do since I get to use all of my scraps and tons of left over stickers and embellishments. I never buy anything to do these books, I just use leftovers, so it doesn't cost me a thing except for my time. I think some of the fun is being able to create something without having any expectations of how it is going to turn out. No stress, just creating and using up supplies.

Here is a little mini book that I created a couple of weeks ago and never posted.

Taylor - Jazz costume

OK, this layout did not photograph well at all. I took probably 30 different pictures of it and this is the best I could get. This is the first (of many) layouts for the girls' dancing book for 2007-2008 year. They are dancing to It's Raining Men for their jazz number this year. LOVE the costume of all of the girls. It is such a bright color that compliments them all.

For this layout, I used the Hambly overlays over plain black cardstock for the background. I then used my glue pen and traced over the swirls and then added glitter to give it a little ooomph. That is the reason it didn't photograph well I think is because the overlay is reflecting the flash.

Products used: Bazzill Cardstock, Hambly overlays, Doodlebug glitter and chipboard, Making Memories sticker letters and rubon letters, Prima rhinestones and flowers, misc. rhinestones

Give us everything you got.........

this picture makes me laugh, to the point that I have to stop to catch my breath. It has meaning on so many levels, again, super funny. I am sure that Lee feels this way every day of his life trying to raise two daughters. Honestly, you just have to know Lee to get the the true humor of this photo. I love it!!!!

and here is the other picture that we took.

Of course, we only intended on buying one picture, but after seeing them, we ended up with two. I am just glad that Hobby Lobby has their frames on sale this week so I can get them framed and hung up on the wall.
Anyways, I hope to get some scrapping done soon so I will have some things to post.

Sorry that I haven't posted in so long......

I have been super busy the last few weeks. We just got back from vacation last night (we had a great time) and with the dance recital coming up and extra practices and everything else that is going on, I haven't had time to get any scrapping done. I have been getting lots of pictures printed though, so when I do have time, I have lots of pictures to choose from, and now I have another vacation to add to the stack!!!
