Design Team September assignment: Adore

So, the Treasured Memories Design Team meets tonight which means, I am able to post my submission. This month was a little different with the products that we were given. Normally we aren't given paper with our products, but this month we were. It made it a little harder I think but I plowed through it. The products and paper that I was give was:

Tattered Angels Glimmer chips
glittered cardstock
Creative Imagination diecut paper
Jenny Bowlin cards
Bazzill velvet flowers
The challenges that I completed were:

Use the new metallic rub on ink
Use paint
Use combo of Glimmer Mist and Distress Inks

Other Products used: all of the items listed above that were give to me, cardstock, Glimmer Mist in Suede, Forest Green and Vintage Pink, Gold Mirror paper, Rusty Pickle chipboard, Tim Holtz Crackle paint in Peeled Paint and Antique Linen, All Purpose ink in Vegas Gold and Frost White, old Rebecca Sower epoxy stickers, Stickles, Prima bling, Prima flowers, Kaiser pearls, May Arts ribbons, Alcohol ink and Tim Holtz Distress Ink

(Don't forget to click on it to see a larger image!!!)

a close- up

A couple of techniques that I did:
- for the chipboard corners, I painted them with crackle paint. Once they were dry, I started weaving the ribbon in and out of the swirls, twisting the ribbon at the same time.
-I needed some centers for my flowers, but nothing was really looking right, so I took Gold Alcohol ink and used that on some REALLY old epoxy stickers that I have had for years and they became perfect centers for my flowers!!! You can change any non-porous surface with Alcohol inks. They are really a great thing to have around. I also covered the back of the glimmer chips with the alcohol ink and then added a little bit of stickles on the front
-for the Prima bling, the best way to make these stretch is to cut them up and use pieces. This works really well for this type of layout and it makes the product last a long longer
